The Alliance Francais de Mombasa is hosting the fourth
edition of the coastal film festivals. The festivals initiated by film makers
from the coastal region to provide a forum where film makers from the coastal
region can show case their films, will see over 20 films screened this year.
The third edition (2013) screened 9 short films, 14 feature
films and four documentaries over a period of 16 nights.
The attendance was overwhelming recording 2200 people
attending the screenings, with peak of 250 people during the festivals opening Galla.
Through these initiatives Coast
Filmmakers’ Association in partnership with Alliance Française de Mombasa is
committed to make this event an annual showcase and hopefully transform it,
with time, into a world-class festival.
