BOARD REVIEWS ACADEMIC PROGRAM

Kakamega County Education board is reviewing its academic programmes to ensure poor performing schools in the county raise their performance.
County education board chairman, Laban ayiro said each school has been advised to set its mean score target to ensure that teachers achieve their academic objectives.
Ayiro said headteachers need also to stop priotising purchase of buses in schools and instead focus on construction of libraries and science labaratories.
ayiro made the remarks at pastor Nicholas stam shimalabantu in kakamega, where he addressed secondary school headteachers.
Tthe county secondary school headteachers chairman, Godfrey Owori urged the government to release funds to schools on time to enable the administrators manage the institutions without constrains.

COUNTY GOVERMENT RELEASES 30M

KAKAMEGA COUNTY GOVERNMENT HAS RELEASED 30 MILLION KENYA SHILLINGS TO INITIATE DEVELOPMENT PROJECT IN NAVAKHOLO CONSTITUENCY.
GOVERNOR WYCLIF OPARANYA DISBURSED THE FUNDS TODAY WHERE SIVILIE GIRLS SECONDARY SCHOOL GOT 5 MILLION.
OPARANYA SAID THAT THE REMAINING AMOUNT OF MONEY HAD BEEN SHARED AMONG ALL SCHOOLS TO INITIATE CONSTRUCTION OF NURSARY CLASSROOMS IN THE CONSTITUENCY.
THE GOVERNOR WAS SPEAKING AT SIVILIE SECONDARY SCHOOL DURING THE DISTRIBUTION OF THE MONEY.
THE MEETING WAS ALSO ADRESSED BY BUNYALA EAST MEMBER OF COUNTY ASSEMBLE, MOHAMED KULOBA, AREA SUB COUNTY EDUCATION OFFICER, SARA AYUMBA AND COUNTY MINISTER FOR TRADE AND INDUSTRY ROBERT SUMBI.
