Rama Salim may be headed for Kenya Premier League (KPL)
champions Gor Mahia for a third time, as his contract with Tanzanian side
Coastal Union comes to an end next month.
According to Gor Mahia’s
Assistant Secretary General Ronald Ngala, the clubs interest in the player is
the same as when they signed him for the first time. He further noted that
nothing has moved so far, with talks yet to be finalised.
Ngala also hinted that
the coach’s stand on the issue will count for much as far as the plaers return
is concerned.
Salim Joined Coastal
Union in June 2014 for a one year contract. This was after a successful career
in South Africa. He opted for the Tanzanian cub after missing a chance at Gor
Mahia but as signs show, chances are he will be back home.
Rama is among Kenyan
players who go searching for clubs to play for despite having agents to do that
for them. This is a disadvantage to most coastal professional football players
according to sports analyst and presenter Mkalla Wa Mwambodze.
“Rama should just play
his football and let his agent do the rest, in doing so he will focus on
improving his skills on the pitch rather than draining so much energy wondering
which club will sign him.” Said Mkalla.
NipasheNipashike wishes
Rama Salim all the best in his career.
