THE RIDE OF SHAME: BRIDE FAINTS AFTER FIANCE ARRIVES IN A BODABODA

Many of you will agree with me when I say, weddings are known for grand entries by the couples. Long luxurious convoy of vehicles is the common style in our country. Therefore it goes without say something else used; if not a car or a horse is way down the expected stunt.
It also seems there is more to these stunts, more  than just it being a memorable moment. That is if the events of the recent past are anything to go by.
Allow me to take you to Uganda where a bride fainted after her fiancé arrived in a bodaboda. Jamawa Nambi, who was ready to tie the knot with Ali Malik, cried before fainting when she learnt that her man had arrived unaccompanied for the wedding in Wante village in Mayuge District, Uganda.
Malik’s move caused a stir among Namawa’s family members and friends. They wanted him sent away until he had enough money for a decent means of transport.
