MISS TOURISM KWALE CHAMPIONS SANITARY TOWEL DONATION

Kwale County’s miss tourism, Fatuma khamis is championing a sanitary towel donation campaign in the County.
The project dubbed sanitary towels to improve girls education in kwale  is aimed at ensuring that the girl child does not miss classroom hours due to lack of sanitary towel.
Speaking to nipashenipashike Fatuma said:  apart from providing the towels, the campaign aims at informing them on how they can keep hygienic lifestyles to prevent infections, empowering mothers to support their girls thereby reducing the risk of girls engaging in risky behaviors and providing role models for the girls to look up to as they continue with their quest for education
According to Fatuma the campaign will be launched next month and will be rolled out in all primary schools in each sub county.
She urged well wishers to make their donations at drop boxes available at Nakumat Diani and Sammat. Those wishing to make personal contributions will have to contact her through her mail, fatmakhamisi46@yahoo.com
Fatuma who made headlines last week when she accused the county government of abandoning her after her crowning is working in partnership with the County’s first lady in the campaign.
