“I am not mtukufu” Uhuru tells senator

Kenyan president Uhurukenyatta on Tuesday told Kiambu senator Kimani wa Matangi , to stop using the word mtukufu rais (glorious president) when reffering to him. Terming the tittles as unwarranted, the star reports.
During the opening of new wards atGatundu Geneal hospital, Gatundu south Member of Parliament Jose Ngugi, was also told the same when he used the term mtukufu before asking for favours from the president.
“Ningependa kumwambia rafiki yangu Seneta Wamatangi ingawa mnanishikilia sana wacha nikupatie mawaidha kidogo ya kwamba hiyo mambo ya mtukufu rais tuliacaha zamani sana. (I want to tell my friend Senator Wamatangi that even though he supports me so much it is good to give him advice. We stopped giving presidents that title a long time ago). "We address each other now as His Excellency the President."
